Van Driver/stores Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Van Driver to join our team. As a Van Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations efficiently and safely. This is a full-time position.
The purpose of this role is to support the Procurement Team in managing stock levels and stock loss alongside ensuring Engineers receive supplies in a timely manner.
**Responsibilities**:
- Safely operate a van to transport goods and materials
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are properly secured
- Plan routes and navigate to destinations using GPS or maps
- Adhere to traffic laws and regulations at all times
- Inspect the vehicle regularly and report any maintenance issues
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and signatures
- Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
- Carry out pre planned site clearances
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed
**Requirements**:
- Valid UK driver's licence with commercial driving experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or van driver
- Mechanical knowledge to handle basic vehicle maintenance tasks
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet delivery deadlines
- Physically fit, as the role may involve lifting and carrying heavy items
Please note that all positions at our company are paid, including internships.

Pay: £21,000.00 per year
