- HR0149245The School of Social Sciences has a long-established track record in teaching and research relating to various academic disciplines including sociology, criminology, psychology, social work as well as peace and development studies. The Department of Sociology and Criminology, within the School of Social Sciences at the University of Bradford, recruits strongly for the University and contributes to its REF submission.

Along with your teaching and learning responsibilities, you are expected to contribute to the Department's continuing success through evidence of potential to publish research papers in peer-reviewed journals as well as other outlets through which knowledge dissemination is evident. Evidence of interest and experience in relation to any of the following themes would be an advantage: ethnic relations and social policy; the sociology of crime and deviance; popular culture and consumption; crime and inequalities; desistance, offender management and probation; and policing and law enforcement.
