A market leading organisation require an Indirect Procurement Buyer. An excellent opportunity for an aspiring Category Manager or indirect procurement professional to support procurement strategies, focusing on IT, professional services and generalist indirect areas.

The Indirect Procurement Buyer will join an established and high-performing procurement category management team. Working closely with Category Managers, the Indirect Procurement Buyer will undertake a range of; hands-on, strategic and analytical tasks designed to drive the achievement of procurement strategies. The Indirect Procurement Buyer will also drive the adoption and compliance of procurement processes and tools across the business.

Specific duties of the Indirect Procurement Buyer include:

- Run sourcing and tender activities - market testing, and supply market analysis of the IT and indirect space
- Supplier management / interaction - selection, negotiating, relationship building, SRM and contract management
- Assist the development of category management strategies
- Ownership of procurement department savings tracker and spend analytics
- Collaborate with procurement leadership and stakeholders to drive governance and compliance

Indirect Procurement Buyer applicants should meet the following criteria:

- Procurement experience - ideally within the indirect, or IT space, or an interest in category management
- Excellent soft skills, stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience of supplier management, contract management and/or negotiations
- Desire for a progressive career within procurement category management - willingness to study CIPS etc.
