**Position: Buyer (Graduate)**

**Hours: Monday-Friday 8.00am-4.30pm**

HRGO are seeking a Buyer to join a growing team and be responsible for the robust sourcing processes to support the operational business as well as contributing to implementing the investment plans for re-purposing of the manufacturing site.

**Responsibilities**- Supporting the team by following purchasing processes and procedures to support business objectives and targets- Developing, shaping sourcing operations to develop and design cost effective contracts and services aligned to services and costs- Developing supplier development and cost optimisation on site, together with leading negotiating and drafting contracts aligned with business requisites- Reporting, reviewing costs and negotiating competitive rates on a range of services within the sourcing area- Developing and managing sourcing and business processes, tools for key stakeholders- Managing and working within budgetary processes and working with Finance, management, and key stakeholders to develop cost optimisation and quality services- Working with Stores, Engineering and other functions to provide sourcing support within all areas and challenge the status quo- Supporting IdHammer development and ensuring correct procedures are followed and providing support to others on Idhammer- Developing strong teamwork with Stores in order to ensure operations are working effectively and aligned to contract agreements in place

**Requirements**:
You will be a graduate and CIPS qualified or nearing completion of CIPS qualification with some experience working within a procurement, manufacturing environment.

**Specialist Skills**- You will have a strong understanding of Business and a commercial acumen of working within a focused purchasing team- You will have experience of working with Excel, Databases, Idhammer, Sage and other purchasing platforms to create processes and initiatives to drive business performance and improvements- Excellent previous experience of reducing costs whilst maintaining customer service is essential- You will be motivated, dynamic and can challenge the status quo with support of cost analysis and proposals to improve all aspects of service within a manufacturing and project environment- Excellent problem-solving skills to work on a range of purchasing projects- Highly motivated and proactive to develop and grow with the business- Ability to work with site wide teams and challenge current processes and systems
