Undergraduate Tutor

We are seeking an undergraduate tutor to assist primarily with the running of the C linical E xperience in adults with L ong T erm conditions and elective S urgery (CELTS, formerly Advanced Clinical Experience) 4 th year course. This person will continue developing, evaluating and delivering this important programme of learning. Locally they will work with our other undergraduate tutors and five clinical teaching fellows as well as supporting clinical teams to ensure that the curriculum is delivered to a high standard.

We have a strong reputation for delivering high quality undergraduate medical education both in the classroom and clinical areas and courses consistently evaluate highly. As a tutor in the department the appointee will have the rewarding role of academic mentor for fourth and final year students, teach students undertaking other modules where appropriate (particularly during senior medical and surgical assistantships) as well as supporting summative student examinations. It is envisaged the appointee will also oversee a project to expand and train a new cohort of Simulated Patients.
