**The role**

As a Senior Support and Advocacy Worker
- Community Services, you will be part of helping us achieve our mission of reducing the incidence of domestic abuse in the West Mercia region.

As a Senior, you will lead a local team of domestic abuse professionals in the delivery of effective trauma informed support services for women impacted upon by domestic abuse. You will assist the Worcestershire County Manager in providing support, mentoring and supervision to the team. You will support the team to provide face to face and telephone-based advocacy and support to those experiencing domestic abuse living in their own homes, in other arrangements in the community, or who are living temporarily in safe temporary (‘satellite’) accommodation. This will be through the delivery of evidence-based group programmes, or 1:1 support, or drop-in arrangements - as determined by local requirements. You will support the County Manager to provide work alongside housing districts in Worcestershire with the development of the domestic abuse panels and ensuring that they run effectively.

What are we looking for?

The successful applicant will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working with women in a similar or equivalent service setting.

Experience of leading a small team would be an advantage as would experience of supporting and mentoring a team in a similar setting. Our senior staff are skilled in supporting, empowering and motivating their teams to ensure the support provided to service users is timely and effective.
