AWE is currently recruiting for Technical Support within the Materials and Analytical Function.
Location - Reading area
Package - £21,150 - £27,150 (depending on your suitability and level of experience)

The Role:
As technical support for the team, you will be providing technical support to scientists and technologists in a technical field by developing and maintaining capabilities, operating equipment and other technical work as directed, to support the weapon programme and/or Nuclear Threat Reduction at the product, component and material level. You would receive training in relevant technical skills including PCB assembly, use of test equipment and environmental testing processes.- Providing technical support and skills to ensure that experimental/ technical capabilities are available to meet team delivery targets, as defined by the relevant programmes and/ or tasking- Undertaking work in compliance with Company processes, standards, and procedures- Undertaking testing of new instrumentation against a defined process- Managing parts availability in a local store and from the market- Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and can be a great team player- Good communications skills (both verbal and written)- Administration experience- Strong computer skills including Excel- Team working skills- Knowledge of general maths and English
