Greenkeeping at The Carnegie Links
- Positioned on a narrow finger of land jutting out into the Dornoch Firth, The Carnegie Links is a fine example of a traditional Scottish links course.
- With a full 18 holes and measuring 6,903 yards, the course is a true test for any golfer. It benefits greatly from being part of a private club, however, hosting just 4,000 rounds per year.
- Skibo’s Greenkeepers relish the opportunity their work gives them to enjoy the beauty of the Scottish Highlands every day, working outside in the fresh air with stunning views over the hills and Firth.
- As well as offering a challenging round with beautiful surroundings, The Carnegie Links is also renowned for its immaculate condition and attention to detail, something that our Greenkeeping team takes great pride in.

About The Role

- As a Seasonal Greenkeeper, you’ll be working with us between the months of May and October.
- You’ll spend most of your days out on the course, maintaining the grass by switching and brushing, repairing divots and mowing banks, and repairing and renovating our turf.

- From driving the tractors to preparing machinery for regular use, you’ll operate and help maintain the lawnmowers, tractors, and other course equipment.
- Health and safety are crucial to the work we do, and you’ll help promote this by observing healthy and safe work practices such as wearing appropriate footwear/clothing and communicating hazards and risks whenever they arise.
- You’ll work alongside a friendly, outgoing team of greenkeepers who love the work they do, enjoy working as a team, and honour their commitments.

Who We Are Looking For
- You’re interested in Greenkeeping and excited to learn more and improve your skills alongside a supportive and professional team.
- Your friends would describe you as dependable and trustworthy, and we can comfortably rely on you to work unsupervised.
- Spending time outdoors is one of your passions, and you have an appreciation for golf and golf courses.
- Ideally, you’re coming in with some Greenkeeping experience, but we’ll also consider those with limited experience but a passion for the industry

What I'm looking for isn't necessarily people who have worked on a golf course before - what's important is a positive attitude, a good work ethic and a genuine passion for being outdoors."**
