Hgv Winter Drivers

**Driver Hire Inverness** are seeking several HGV Class 2 Drivers for work throughout the winter in ARDELVE

**Accommodation could be provided for right person.**

We are recruiting for the below roles to start mid-October until approx. April 2023

**Frontline**

**_Day Rate - £12.00 ph. + overtime of £18.00 ph. after 40 hours worked + standby rate _**

**_Night Rate - £15.60 + overtime of £21.60 ph. after 40 hours worked + standby rate_**
- Planned work pattern - mixtures of days and nights on a rota basic.
- You will also be required to participate in standby which is done on a rota basic and paid accordingly.
- There will be an elements of highway duties including maintenance works, road gritting and litter picking as required.
- In periods of good weather making yourself available for other duties. When not gritting other duties including working in the yard are required.
- Carry out vehicle checks prior to shift starting, correctly filling in defect books
- Road maintenance in line with adverse weather conditions.
- Flexible in response to unexpected changes in weather

**Patrol**

**_Night Rate - £14.30 ph.
- **
- Undertake winter patrol operations.
- This is a night position offering a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
- You will be driving a Class 2 vehicle with a gritter and snow plough attachment, so must be comfortable driving in adverse weather conditions.
- When not gritting other duties including working in the yard are required, In periods of good weather making yourself available for other duties.
- Carry out vehicle checks prior to shift starting, correctly filling in defect books
- Road maintenance in line with adverse weather conditions.
- Flexible in response to unexpected changes in weather

**Requirements**:

- Category C entitlement on your UK Driving Licence
- Valid Drivers CPC And Digi card
- No more than 6 points on your licence with no DR offences within the past 6 years.
- You will be provided with training covering working in adverse weather conditions and route familiarisation, however, experience working on winter patrols and/or within a civils environment would be an advantage
