Summary

We currently have the opportunity for 2 full time Fixed Term Contract (1 year) Family Keyworkers to join Support and Safeguarding Team East, based in in Devizes. We cover a wide geographical area which includes Tidworth, Ludgershall, Marlborough, Pewsey, Calne, Devizes and outlying villages.

We are building on the considerable progress already made across our services helping to re-define young futures by providing support at the earliest opportunity by working together with our partners in a coherent and structured way. Families and children will receive a high quality, efficient and effective social work service which results in them being more resilient and will say that you made a positive difference to their lives.

**About the role**

As a Family Keyworker, you will establish strong relationships with children, young people, parents and carers to enable a thorough understanding of barriers to them achieving positive outcomes and, using appropriate intervention techniques and direct work, develop their resilience, strengthen family relationships and prevent the need for more intensive or specialist services.

**About you**

You will be educated to an NVQ Level 4 or have equivalent experience and have a strong understanding of child protection policies and procedures and the importance of safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults.

Proven experience of working with vulnerable children, with thorough knowledge and understanding of child development and a commitment to improving outcomes for children and families is essential.

**Interviews will be held on **7th and 14th September 2023.
