GR8 wholesale Communications is an outsourced provider for a number of brand companies and provide retained services for a number of brand companies including Opus Broadband.

Opus broadband is a new high capacity/high performance broadband network which operates in the East Lancashire, Fylde Coast ad Greater Manchester areas. The innovative network uses fibre optic cables and wireless technology to deliver broadband fibre speed internet to communities at affordable prices.

**The role - Mechanic/ Plant Mechanic**

The role is to oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of our company vehicles as well as all plant machinery, such as Hiab, cherry pickers and compressors

We are looking for Engineers who are able to maintain and repair all company vehicles (fleet cars and Vans) as well as plant machinery.

In this role you will:

- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct maintenance and repairs on a variety of big plant machinery to ensure they are safe, reliable, and compliant with industry standards.
- Safety Inspections: Perform routine safety inspections on the machinery to identify and address potential issues proactively.
- Fault Finding: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and other issues in a timely and efficient manner. Perform repairs, servicing, and parts replacement
- Carry out vehicle and plant machinery servicing and routine vehicle and plant machinery examinations
- Perform the inspection and repair of vehicles, machinery, and light trucks.
- Oversee the maintenance inspections, monitor inventory, assemble mechanical components, and perform repairs.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Compliance: Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations

**Essential Skills of Mechanic/ Plant Mechanic**
- Full Driving Licence
- Experience in working on a variety of vehicles and machinery
- Understanding of Hydraulic maintenance and repair
- Proven experience as a mechanic/technician, preferably in the field of plant machinery or heavy construction equipment.
- Strong knowledge of equipment systems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in fault finding and diagnostics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Relevant certifications and qualifications in equipment maintenance and repair.

Full Time - 40 hours

Monday to Friday but will need flexibility

£30 - £35k.
