**Summer Internship: Automation**

**About the Programme**:
Over the course of this 8-week paid summer internship, our Automation programme will expose you to the world of automation, where you will get the chance to work within our automation team as we develop and delivering automation solutions to the benefit of our Group. You will work alongside senior developers, gathering requirements, design and developing solutions, and then testing and embedding these into operational teams. Regular engagement with Modality stakeholders will give you the opportunity to showcase process improvements/automations.

**About you**:
Our current summer internship opportunity requires you to be on track for a **minimum 2:1 degree and Level 6 at GCSE English and Maths (or other equivalent qualifications). **You will:

- Have a strong academic background, a willingness to learn new skills and hit the ground running with them.
- Have excellent communication skills and able to report progress effectively within the automation team, including both successes and issues.
- Be a self-starter, committed and enjoy working autonomously (with mínimal supervision), though capable of working well in a team where necessary
- Excellent analytical mind when designing solutions and a natural desire to find solutions to problems - sometimes thinking outside the box.

**For 8-12 weeks, you can expect to**:

- Onboarding, including training and learning about NHS clinical systems used for Primary Care, as well as the automation software used to creation the automations.
- Learn more about the automation lifecycle and understand when automation is appropriate - and importantly, when it isn’t
- Engage directly with an automation project, gathering requirements and building a solution.
- Ensuring automation documentation is in place and signed off ahead of and post-development.
- Produce statistics and reporting for automation solutions for more transparent group reporting.

**About the business area**:
The National Business Support Team led by the CEO of Modality Partnership, provides back office support: HR and Workforce Development, Training, Finance, Governance, Patient Experience, Informatics, Infrastructure, Business Development, General Administration support across the organisation. The Team is growing with more and more practice-based functions being centralised to help improve service resilience and day to day pressures.
