JOB TITLE: Reception Supervisor
REPORTS TO: Practice Business Manager
HOURS: To be agreed
Job Summary
To be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of all reception and admin staff, helping to ensure the smooth running of the reception following all procedures and protocols as set by the surgery.
Supervisory Role
- Induction and training of all new staff
- Ensure adequate staffing levels, approve annual leave and organising rotas
- Manage day to day issues that may arise within the reception/admin team
Reception Duties
- Covering reception when needed, dealing with enquiries from patients both face to face and via telephone
- Booking appointments
- Dealing with electronic post
- Coding diagnosis’s and other important information onto patients records
- Supporting QOF
Senior Admin Duties
- Dealing with prescription queries and on-line prescription requests
- Adding, amending or removing medication as advised by letters received via hospital correspondence
Person Specification
- 2 years’ experience of working in an NHS/pharmacy setting
- Previous experience of working in a supervisory role is desirable but not essential
- Must have a clear understanding of issuing prescriptions
- Good communication skills with both other team members and patients

**Salary**: From £10.72 per hour

- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Doncaster: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Education**:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
**Experience**:
- NHS/Pharmacy setting: 2 years (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 2 years (preferred)
**Language**:
- English (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
