Food Technician

**Food Technician**:

Location: Godalming, Surrey
Hours: 20 - 13:00-16:00 - Mon to Friday

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- To maintain the food room; cleaning work surfaces, cupboards, fridges and equipment where necessary
- Laundry of tea towels, dishcloths and oven gloves following practical's
- Preparation of equipment/ingredients for demonstrations
- To assist students during practical lessons
- Testing/developing new recipes
- Stock checks and ordering of materials and equipment
- Assisting with displays
- Day to day admin duties as required
- Daily maintenance of the Staff Room including stocking of milk/tea/coffee/sugar; kitchen towel, washing up liquid, clean towels/dishcloths
- Regular meetings with the Food teacher

**Education and Training**
- Educated to GCSE level
- Be a competent cook
- Awareness of nutrition and hygiene and safety in the kitchen
- Working in a school environment
- Previous experience of working in a similar role
- IT skills
- Able to handle confidential information appropriately
- Able to maintain good relationships with staff, students and parents
- Possess enthusiasm and passion for cooking
