An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the rapid access TIA (Transient Ischaemic Attack) Services across East Kent. We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic person with a high standard of organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload to coordinate the TIA service across East Kent.

The post holder will need to have good IT and database skills, minute taking skills and a professional telephone manner.

You will be working with a wide range of people and communicating with both patients and staff, so effective interpersonal skills are essential.

You must work well as part of a team, whilst also having the ability to use your own initiative and work well under pressure.

Knowledge of the TIA and Stroke services within East Kent and experience in the use of hospital based IT systems would be an advantage.

It is expected that the post holder will work across all hospitals within East Kent Hospitals University Foundation Trust as an element of the role, and to be flexible in their hours.

We’re one of the biggest acute trusts in England with five hospitals providing a wide range of high quality services and opportunities to develop. The William Harvey Hospital in Ashford and Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital in Margate provide the full range of district general hospital services, while Kent & Canterbury Hospital in Canterbury is a specialist services hub which provides adult medical care, inpatient renal, urology and vascular services and is a national urological robotic surgery training centre.

At Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital we have a specialist centre for gynaecological cancer and modern operating theatres, ITU and paediatric facilities, as well as a Cardiac Catheter Laboratory, renal satellite service and cancer unit. At William Harvey Hospital, we have a regional specialist cardiology unit, trauma unit and the specialist Head and Neck Unit for east Kent.
