You'll support the Suffolk & Essex Coast portfolio, which includes Sutton Hoo, Orford Ness, Dunwich Heath and Northey Island, with a wide-ranging programme of events and conservation work. In this varied role, you’ll promote what we do, across the full marketing mix - through media relations, social media and web content.

Sutton Hoo is one of the most important archaeological sites in this country. Here we reveal the story of the ship burial of an Anglo-Saxon king and his treasured possessions, but also the story of Edith Pretty who instigated the dig and Basil Brown, a local archaeologist, who made the discovery of a lifetime.

Orford Ness on the other hand is a former top-secret military testing site, and now an internationally significant nature reserve. Here you'll have to catch a boat to get to work. Other sites you'll be supporting and working along the coast and riverside estuaries include Dunwich Heath, Northey Island, Pin Mill and Kyson Hill.

What you'll be doing:You’ll be on hand to offer support and advice to property colleagues and take the lead on all marketing and communications activity at the places in your portfolio. You'll be planning, creating, editing, proof-reading, co-ordinating, collating and sharing content for offline and online channels. You’ll work on our website and support our social media activity, sharing fascinating stories about the work we do with the media and enticing visitors to come back season after season.

Overall, it’s a diverse and challenging role and a great step for those wanting to pursue a career in Marcomms.

- Practical experience in a marketing and communications role, with a good understanding of how different channels can be used effectively.
