**Purpose and objectives of the role**

RAAM Construction Ltd has an excellent opportunity for a Fire Door Installer and Maintainer in the London area.

We are an experienced and well-established London based building services company with a rapidly growing portfolio of clients and contracts specialising in Fire Safety in the commercial and social housing sector. The company offers a supportive and collaborative working environment, where you can develop your skills and knowledge.

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Fire Door Installer and Maintainer to become a reliable member of our growing passive fire protection team across the London area. In this role, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining fire doors for our clients. This role will require physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects. Applicants must have proven experience in
- Installation and maintenance of fire doors to variety of projects and types of buildings

**Main duties and responsibilities**
- Installation of fire doors in accordance with British Standard regulation and BM Trada Q-Mark scheme
- Maintenance and repairs of fire doors in accordance with BM Trada Q-Mark scheme
- Perform basic carpentry tasks such as cutting, measuring, and fitting doors and frames.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and regulations.
- Provide regular, accurate and timely feedback (verbal and written reports) to Operations Team
- Attend training sessions and courses as required.
- To work with and under instruction from your line manager complying with work instructions, company policies and Health and Safety procedures.

**Person Specification**
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced tradespeople.
- Ability to operate power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good team player

**Job requirements - Essential**
- Must have a valid and clean EEA driver’s licence
- Able to drive (own van an advantage)
- Have or be able to obtain a DBS certificate
- Have or be able to obtain ECS/CSCS Health and Safety module
- Have or be able to obtain Asbestos awareness certification
- 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (Grade C or above)
- Minimum 2 years of experience with fire doors installation and maintenance

**Job requirements - Desirable**
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Joinery or other relevant trade

**Job Type**: Employment, Self-Employed or Work on price

**Salary**: From £45,000.00 per year
