Founded and managed by Pete's family, Sunflowers is a rapidly expanding charity dedicated to aiding individuals affected by suicide. Our mission is to align our efforts with local and national suicide prevention strategies and adhere to best practices. Sunflowers is committed to preventing suicide through intervention, awareness training, and various campaigns throughout the year.

**Develop Support Plans**: Create support plans for children, young people, and families, including agreed review dates to ensure continual monitoring and assessment of needs.

**Maintain Database**: Ensure the charity database is kept up to date with liaison service notes and client outcomes.

**Collaborate with External Agencies**: Support the management team with developing a collaborative alliance with other agencies, such as the Police, Coroner’s staff, and NHS Trusts, to support the bereaved effectively through legal proceedings.

**Effective Communication**: Communicate effectively with GPs, local NHS mental health community teams, and Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service providers in the locality to make appropriate and effective referrals.

**Network Building**: Network with other external organisations to promote the Sunflowers Liaison Service, with a specific focus on children and young people.

**Facilitate Support Sessions**: Facilitate and attend support sessions and drop-in sessions, with an emphasis on creating a safe and welcoming environment for children and young people.
