We are delighted to offer this unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior
Ecologist to join our team in a totally flexible position to suit.

As a Senior Ecologist, you will play a vital role in helping to manage and deliver a range of
own hours and days to suit their work life balance with just the exception of any booked

long-term security.

**The Role(s)**:
Assisting with ongoing development of the ecology team, giving technical support at all
levels.

Working with our extensive client base to assist them in the planning process.

Undertake and manage varying types of habitat and species surveys, including leading bat
emergence surveys using Night Vision Aids.

Preparing and reviewing technical reports including Ecological Impact Assessments.

Producing Biodiversity Net Gain calculations and plans.

Preparing and reviewing fee proposals.

Company representation at official engagements such as client meetings, public
consultation, Design Review Panel etc.

Contributing to the company’s management systems as well as company documents including
preparing report templates and guidance documents.

Opportunities to assist with the Environmental Consultancy department including Nutrient
Balance Assessments and shadow Habitat Regulations Assessments.

Computer and survey equipment will be provided, including all necessary Personal Protective
Equipment

**Requirements**:
Minimum 5 years or more working in an ecological consultancy role.

Member of CIEEM.

Natural England class licenses, preferably for Great Crested Newt and Bats.

Excellent report writing skills.

Excellent organisational and communication skills

An understanding of Biodiversity Net Gain.

Knowledge of relevant legislation and planning policies.

Must be flexible and able to work under pressure and to meet project deadlines.

Fully competent in the use of Microsoft Office.

Full driving licence.

**Desirable**:
Previous experience of analysing bat sound files (Analook in particular)

Experience with QGIS

CSCS card
