**Location**: Based in Hyndburn but working in East Lancashire

**Salary**:£11 per hour + mileage

Our client is a Registered Charity, dedicated to improving the homes and quality of life of older and disabled people. They provide advice, support and assistance to elderly, disabled and vulnerable people whether they own their own home or rent their home.Their aim is to help people to remain warm, safe and secure in their home.

The charity is looking to recruit a Handyperson to join the team.

**Key Responsibilities**
- To provide a service which promotes independent living
- To provide a safety/security/emergency and repair service
- To promote and develop the charity’s services

**Qualifications**
- General building trade experience and ability to carry out a wide range of small repairs to domestic properties - joinery, plumbing, etc.
- Enthusiasm and a commitment to the community with an understanding of and a sympathy with their needs
- Literacy and numeracy - must be able to complete time sheets and be responsible for petty cash

The role will be Based at Hyndburn but working in East Lancashire - Hyndburn, Ribble Valley, Rossendale, Burnley are the main areas covered.
