A vacancy has arisen for a Parachute Packer in the Manufacturing department at the Denham site.
- The purpose of this role is to pack new build parachutes and drogues to support production and supply of customer spares and to meet the requirements of the production and development schedule, in addition to surveying and repacking parachutes, as deemed necessary in support of the MRO business.**The Package for Parachute Packer**:
Working hours:

- Monday-Thursday 08:00 - 17:00 Monday - Thursday
- 08:00 to 12:00 on Friday
- 37.5 hours/ week**Salary**: £28,000 - £30,800/yr DOE**Key Tasks for Parachute Packer**:

- Pack parachutes and drogues in accordance with technical specifications and manuals involving:

- Drawing of parts from satellite stores
- Recording of batch numbers and completion of history sheets
- Checking parachutes for flaws and noting minor flaws on the history sheet
- Preparing parachutes for loading into the press
- Operating presses to ensure parachutes and drogues are compressed in
- Ensure efficient utilisation of presses and other equipment.
- Work with development programmes on working methods and specifications of head boxes, parachutes and drogues including prototypes and test pieces.

- Manual dexterity
- Utilises tooling correctly and safely
- Conforms to the tool control requirements of the department
