**Please note**: this post is 0.5 FTE (2 and ½ days a week) and fixed term for 1 year. The project is funded for 1 year and will conclude at the end of this period. A secondment (for 1 year) for an external member of staff is also possible, at 0.5 FTE.

Are you a clinician or researcher with experience of project management and service development? We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated project manager to lead on a project to build ACP training capacity in learning disabilities and autism services in ELFT. East London NHS Foundation is an outstanding provider of mental health, community health, and primary care services across East London and Luton and Bedfordshire. The development of advanced clinical practice within ELFT is at an early stage. The majority of our ACP trainees work in acute and forensic mental health services and community health services.

There is a clear need to improve clinical leadership in learning disabilities and autism services nationwide. As organisations develop to implement the recommendations of Building the Right Support, the NHS Long Term Plan, and the National Autism Strategy, advanced clinical skills and leadership will be key to transform the workforce. These advanced skills are required as quickly as possible and will support the development of sustainable training routes.

There is currently a lack of awareness and readiness in learning disabilities and autism services in ELFT to support the training and development of advanced clinical practitioners.

As project manager you will lead a project to scope and build ACP training capacity for learning disabilities and autism services within ELFT. You will also assist the Trust ACP Lead in relation to service development and role planning for future ACPs working in learning disabilities and autism services, as well as working with the Trust’s Strategic Lead for Learning Disability to look at ways ACP could be used to develop cross working between learning disabilities and autism services and other services, such as acute mental health services, for example. The post holder will receive regular supervision from the Trust ACP Lead and the Trust’s Strategic Lead for Learning Disability.
