**Position**:

**Key responsibility**:
Overseeing the safe running of the green waste site, in line with PAS 100 and waste management plan
**Main Duties**:
- Supervise and execute the PAS 100 process for green waste:
- Manage the windrows, including size, shape and turning of material.
- Maintain records and manage the composting phases.
- Ensure the site is managed, in accordance with the standard operating procedures.
- Oversee the management of the site, to comply with the site management plan, environmental permit and planning permission.
- Ensure that housekeeping standards are maintained.
- Load customer vehicles with finished product (compost, soil etc ).
**Requirements (essential)**:
- Load shovel ticket
- Telehandler ticket
- WAMITAB for open windrow composting
- Screening and shredding experience
**Requirements (desirable)**:
- 360 excavator ticket
- PAS 100 experience
Wages dependent upon experience and credentials
**Continuous Improvement**:
- Ensure the highest standards are maintained to continually improve the service given to Clients.
- Inform your line manager immediately of any problems encountered and identify possible solutions.
- Ensure all of the company’s procedures are followed and adhered to and suggest opportunities to improve and develop them where appropriate.
- Avoid or minimise material waste and identify opportunities to reduce consumption.
- To carry out any duties which may be required to ensure a professional service is provided at all times.
- Encourage and develop team work both within your team and between teams.
**General**:
- Maintain the highest levels of confidentiality at all times regarding the company and its Clients.
- Work efficiently and safely at all times in accordance with the appropriate training, the Company Safety Policy and HSE guidelines.
- Ability to relate well with Clients and Staff and to maintain high professional standards.
- Ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner both in writing and verbally.
- Demonstrate and use initiative to carry out work with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to prioritise and work to strict deadlines whilst paying close attention to detail.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the Company's structure, values and procedures.
- Ensure an appropriate standard of dress and personal appearance is maintained at all times
- Demonstrate an enthusiastic, flexible and patient approach to work.
- Advise your line manager immediately of any visits to site by external agencies such as the Health & Safety Executive, Environmental Health Officers etc.

**Salary**: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
