The post holder will be responsible for supporting the Manufacturing Manager in leading and developing a team of operatives, ensuring that safety, quality, and operational targets (KPI’s) and shift routines are met.
- Permanent night shift role
- Working hours: 19:30 - 07:30
- 12-hour shifts
- Shift pattern: 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off
- Shift Premiums and Holidays discussed at interview

**Responsibilities**
- Lead by example, ensuring a safe and efficient workplace is always maintained
- Organise labour to process work in accordance with the area Work to List requirements from production planning
- Liaise with Operations Support functions to ensure timely delivery of components so that customer demand is satisfied
- Ensure quality rejects are actioned on a timely basis to ensure smooth production flow
- Ensure all operators follow company, regulatory, quality, health, and safety procedures
- Schedule overtime within preapproved levels
- Ensure correct and timely usage of MRP (SFDC) system by all production operatives, to ensure works order closure can be successful
- 5s Ownership of area of responsibility, maintaining visual metrics as required
- Attend and participate in Production and Quality meetings as required
- Plan and organise shift cover, including, but not limited to RTW, Holidays, and clocking administration
- Focus on continuous improvement of work area and outputs
- Carry out effective performance management for the team and ensure company policies and procedures are applied consistently
- Develop and maintain visual management systems in line with visual factory
- Co-ordinate cross-training to maximise versatility of employees
- Carry out RCCA investigations into any Quality/Process/Safety issue(s)
- Utilise previous experience and skills to cover manufacturing areas when required

**Requirements**:
**Essential**
- Experience in a highly regulated Assembly/Manufacturing environment
- Experience of supervising a team in a high paced Lean Production Environment
- Proven track record in Lean Manufacturing including ability to demonstrate and explain techniques which they have used to drive continuous change, Standardised Work, 5’s and visual management
- Experience of achieving Production and Quality Targets within a Manufacturing Environment
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience using MRP / ERP systems
- Working knowledge of KPIs and Operational processes
- Minimum grade C in English and Maths GCSE
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate to all levels
- Strong attention to detail with ability to perform tasks to closure & ensure all tasks undertaken fulfil customer requirement via standard operations within set deadlines
- Demonstrate a high level of computer literacy with use of various software packages, MS Office, MRP Systems etc
- Professional and confidential in all aspects of the role
