**WHAT TO EXPECT**

The Digital Surface Design is a dynamic and innovative team dedicated into turning 2D sketches into 3D digital models. Our meticulously crafted digital concepts serve as a cornerstone, offering virtual support for both virtual and physical properties. Our efforts facilitate the delivery of crucial data for program gateways, daily Design Reviews, Board Review, and various high-level design assessments throughout the enterprise.

**WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR**
- Precise interpretation of 2D ideation, creating digital models that capture the design feel while aligning with engineering constraints
- Creation of high quality digital models that meet quality standards and adhere to surface theory best practices
- Quick virtual iteration of designs and rapid development of diverse concepts for digital evaluation
- Ability to replicate scan data retaining the design feel and mínimal deviation
- Work in a transparent way when working within or leading a team, adhering to Creators Code behaviours at all times
- Support all design disciplines whilst maintaining a flexible, pro-active approach, with focus on achieving programmes gateways deliverables on time with the correct level of data
- Liaise with all levels throughout design, across all disciplines, in order to deliver the required digital models
- Developing and maintaining master assemblies with integrity in alignment with the team standards
- Maintaining program documentation for traceability and sustainability in line with team processes
- Lead digital Design Reviews presenting quality, realistic digitally rendered models to empower clients in making decisions virtually
- Support design program discussions advising on processes and deliverables when necessary
- When leading a programme, manage and distribute workload within the team
- Supporting the evaluation of new toolsets (hardware or software) to keep the department relevant in technologies and improve efficiencies
- Sharing knowledge to enhance the team's skills through mentoring and coaching
- Assisting the team's Early Career initiatives by mentoring newcomers through the established program
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures

**WHAT YOU’LL NEED**

Essential:

- Ability to interpret sketches into digital models
- Strong experience working as a Digital Surface Designer in the Automotive Design area
- Strong experience in: Alias (NURBs and SUB-D), Photoshop and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Design processes within a Design studio environment
- Good PC skills
- Manage workload and timings
- Manage Master Datasets organising workload distribution amongst the team
