Responsibilities:

- Construct and repair walls, foundations, extensions, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings to determine specifications and layout of masonry structures
- Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto surfaces using a trowel or other hand tools
- Lay bricks or other masonry units in horizontal courses, ensuring they are level and plumb
- Cut or trim bricks and concrete blocks to size using power saws or hand tools
- Use specialized tools such as levels, plumb bobs, and jointers to ensure accuracy and precision in the construction process
- Repair and replace damaged bricks or masonry units as needed

**Skills**:

- Strong carpentry skills to assist with framing and support work
- Proficiency in various masonry techniques including bricklaying, blocklaying, and stone setting
- Knowledge of different types of bricks, blocks, and stones used in construction projects
- Ability to use power tools such as saws, drills, and grinders safely and effectively
- Proficient in the use of hand tools including trowels, hammers, chisels, grinders & stihl saws.
- Familiarity with roofing techniques for integrating masonry structures with roofs

**Salary**: £250.00-£275.00 per day
