The Salvation Army Folkestone Corps is looking to recruit a cleaner to assist in the smooth running of busy programme of activities which engages with and responds to local needs within the community. The Corps currently provides a variety of activities, and we are looking for a reliable and motivated person to help deliver a professional cleaning service, ensuring that the centre is clean and meets Health and Safety standards for the public at all times.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Undertake cleaning duties according to the cleaning schedule
- Fire Alarm checks/Temperature checks
- Ensure Health and Safety and Environmental Health and Hygiene standards are maintained according to the Safe Working Practices, including wearing of any protective clothing
- Must have the physical ability to move chairs/tables/equipment as required
- Work as part of the staff and voluntary team within the Corps to ensure the overall aims of the Corps are achieved
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements and procedures
- Experience of using cleaning equipment and associate chemicals
- Ability to monitor stock of cleaning materials and recognise their usage so new stock can be ordered
