**Project Summary**:

- Are you a Pricing Specialist, with experience in rail or other transportation industries?

This consulting opportunity is to support our client (a leading rail company), in developing a recommended fares strategy and fares delivery plan, including a recommended approach to fares regulation.
- The project needs a consultant who brings:

- significant experience of developing, delivering and adapting **pricing strategies and fare structures** in the transportation industry
- experience working at board and senior management level with strong **communication skills**.
- This opportunity is part-time.

**Key Areas of Work**:
The key services you'll be providing include:
- Critically review the current fare options being developed, ensuring thinking has not been constrained and all applicable solutions are being considered- Review outputs from the fares market research
- Support in the write up of the fares options reports
- The role will require engagement with numerous stakeholders including HS2, DfT and GBRTT, turning market research insight into useable outputs and looking for best practice from across different businesses and industries.

**Mandatory Skills/Experience**:
Successful consultants will be able to demonstrate the following:

- Significant experience of developing, delivering and adapting pricing strategies and fare structures in the transportation industry.
- Experience working at board and senior management level with strong communication skills, both written and verbally.
- Highly numerate with a proven analytical and problem-solving skillset, working to a high degree of accuracy.
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of what is happening in the wider transportation industry and the implications that local decisions have on other parts of the organisation.
- Transport sector (ideally rail), with exposure to TOC and / or bid financial models.
