We are looking to recruit an exceptional individual to join the Cancer Support Services Team which supports the patient pathway management of eleven cancer site-specific services. This role requires the post holder to be very structured, self -motivated and well organised.

The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a full and effective administrative and clerical support service to cancer pathways, supporting the MDT Coordinator in effectively delivering pathway facilitation and MDT meetings.

Key responsibilities include, data inputting onto the cancer database [PPM], support with tracking patients pathways to ensure key access standards are achieved and providing clerical support to a number of site specific MDT’s. The post holder will be expected to arrange and plan her/his own work on a day-to-day basis within the overall demands and priorities of the department.

You will require experience of working in a customer/patient-focused environment, excellent communication, good organisation and interpersonal skills and have the necessary confidence and competence to work with a wide range of professional staff, internal departments and external organisations. Flexibility and aptitude to work in a fast paced department is important.

The successful applicants will have experience of data inputting using Patient Information Management systems (EPR, ESR, PPM or alternative) and have an understanding of information governance and cancer targets.
