Gelato Maker

Aromi is a much-loved independent café serving up authentic Italian food with a Sicilian twist. We are very popular among Cambridge crowds and well known for our rustic sourdough pizza, focaccia, arancini and artisan gelato.

We currently have three shops in the heart of Cambridge and a central kitchen. We’ve exciting expansion plans with possibility of a career growth and development.

We are looking for passionate and friendly people to join our cafés and kitchen’s teams.

We are looking for a GELATO MAKER

**Responsibilities**:
The duties include all work normally covered by that job title or as otherwise directed by your immediate manager. In particular, you shall carry out the following:

- To assist in the preparation of excellent quality gelato
- To wash and dry gelato equipment taking care of the proper maintenance of the gelato machine
- To assist in ensuring a high level of health and safety, cleanliness and food hygiene and to ensure that safe working practices are followed
- To report any problems to the shift leader or to one of the directors
- To adhere to existing working practices, methods, procedures, undertake relevant training and development activities and to respond positively to new and alternative systems
- To communicate with co-workers and management to solve problems and improve quality and service
- On performing your duties, exercise them with due diligence and loyalty such knowledge skill and expertise as may be reasonably be expected of a person carrying out such duties
- From time to time you may be required to take on other duties of which you are capable in addition to or in place of your normal duties

**Requirements**:

- To be able to work independently and as part of a team, to be willing to learn
- Passion for food, positive ‘can do' attitude and personality
- Highly organised and punctual
- Excellent attention to detail
