Delivering a Ministry of Justice Education, Training and Employment (ETE) contract, which supports ex offenders into ETE opportunities, we are seeking an Advisor who is passionate about making a difference. Job Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as an Employment, Training & Education (ETE) Advisor.

Your role will be to engage and motivate the person on probation (PoP) to achieve ETE outcomes. You will identify the support needs of the PoP and will develop an Action Plan in collaboration with the PoP and probation practitioner (PP), which enables the PoP to overcome any barriers and move forward to achieve ETE outcomes.

You will case manage the PoP journey, delivering 1-1 face to face interventions and will signpost/refer to specialist support, as per the agreed action plan. You will update the probation practitioner at all stages of the programme.

**You will work from Probation Service sites in Preston, Chorley and Skelmersdale, with flexibility to cover other Lancashire sites on an ad hoc basis.**

**Days of work - Tues - Thurs - Friday.**

Essential Job Duties:
**Key Duties**
- Undertake an initial assessment on all referred PoPs, completing an action plan
- Motivate PoP to engage fully with the interventions throughout their time on programme
- Case manage PoP’s progress and activity according to the agreed action plan
- Deliver or organise delivery of interventions as per the agreed action plan
- Signpost or refer to specialist and/or community services as appropriate
- Tailor support according to PoP’s individual needs and available local services
- Identify suitable PoPs for a peer mentor role within the programme
- Complete an Ongoing Support Plan and End of Service report, following the PoP’s final session
- Record all contact on the Customer Approved System (CAS) and liaise with the Probation Practitioner as appropriate and in line with specification requirements
- Manage all cases within The Probation Service risk management procedures
- Meet KPIs and Service Levels

Education and Experience Requirements:

- Experience of working with people who have multiple barriers
- Ability to build effective working relationships with participants, to motivate and support them into employment, training/education
- Experience of working to targets and deadlines
- Ability to build strong relationships with employers, statutory, voluntary and partner services and probation practitioners
- IT skills, including Microsoft Office 365 and the ability to use different databases
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creative problem solving skills, solution focused and resilient
- Strong team player with a positive and flexible approach to both work and colleagues
