Canterbury, United Kingdom Canterbury City Council Full time

Are you a specialist in housing, planning or regeneration and want to further your career working in a small team with big ambitions to drive housing delivery?

We’re looking for someone with a passion for housing development and experience working with a wide range of stakeholders across the housing sector. We have ambitious plans and your expertise and skills will be highly valued in helping to turn those plans into reality, supporting the implementation of the council’s Housing Strategy and Local Plan.

If you join us you will be our specialist in affordable housing delivery and with the support of the Senior Regeneration Manager will take a lead on progressing housing development opportunities, both council and third party-led, across our district.

In this role you will:

- Build relationships with council partners in the public, private and voluntary sectors to influence and steer plans so as to achieve the council’s housing ambitions.
- Have the opportunity to broaden your knowledge and skills through exposure to other land and property based regeneration projects that your team will be delivering.

We would love to hear from you if you have a passion for housing development, have experience of working in partnership across sectors and a knowledge of the role the local authority plays in facilitating, delivering and encouraging housing development.

If you have some and not all of this, please do reach out to us, we may be able to explore how we can support your development.

**Finally, some other bits that might tempt you**:

- Generous annual leave (23 days plus bank holidays)
- Local government pension scheme
- Flexible work location
- We are happy to talk flexible working (Options could include compressed working and flexible start and finish times).

We are committed to promoting equality and diversity in everything we do. We provide a safe and welcoming environment where everyone is valued, included and respected.

For an informal chat about this opportunity, please contact Richard Hall (Head of Property & Regeneration) on 07802 721025

Finally, we expect to hold interviews during the week commencing 12th June. We look forward to hearing from you.

Site maintenance is being carried out on 20 May 2023 between 00:00 - 12:00.
