**Overview of Responsibilities**
**Who are we looking for?**
We are offering a fantastic opportunity for a Department Secretary to join our team of talented professionals. You will have a strong background in administration, excellent customer service skills, and excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. You will also have the ability to handle confidential information with discretion and possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
**What will you be responsible for?**
- Providing administrative and organisation support to the Director of People (and the wider Department), organising meetings on their behalf
- Arranging UK and international travel and accommodation for the department, following UKAEA processes and procedures; make taxi bookings for visitors, visit notices etc as required
- Organizing team activities, meetings and away days, preparing agendas, minute taking, and making catering arrangements as necessary
- Assisting with onboarding processes for People Department new starters, ensuring the New Starter Checklist is followed, completing Form 70s, ordering IT equipment etc.
- Ordering and distributing stationery or other purchases required for the People Department

Salary
£23,464 to 25,030 + excellent benefits including outstanding pension

**Desirable skills, experience and competence**

- L3 CIPD qualified
