We are looking for an experienced IT Lead/Coordinator to create, lead, and deliver on the IT strategy for Wise including its infrastructure, security and ISO requirements, as well as providing the day-to-day delivery of internal IT support to all staff. This is a newly created role, giving the role-holder full autonomy to shape the IT function.

**How you’ll spend your time.**:

- Take the lead on the office IT infrastructure, including networks/internet and hardware such as printers and scanners
- Work alongside Directors, HoDs/Managers to understand IT requirements for the future growth of the business
- Take technical lead of hosted websites, ensuring that all day-to-day maintenance is carried out including the installation of plug-ins and updates
- Support the business in coordinating the ISO and legal compliance of Wise’s IT infrastructure
- Work with the People & Talent teams to ensure that all employees have completed security awareness training
- Create, monitor and evaluate business continuity and disaster recovery plans, ensuring that risks are mitigated where possible
- Create, audit, and maintain physical asset registers
- Liaise with the People & Talent Managers in order to understand recruitment pipelines so that equipment can be ordered in advance
- Ensure that laptops are set up ready for new starters, with all appropriate software and licences created and logged in
- Ensure that all leavers have returned equipment, including accessories and consumables prior to leaving and the People Team are informed where this isn’t possible
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve computer software and hardware faults, including working with employees to resolve faults they encounter and obtaining replacement or specialist components, fixtures, or fittings where required

- Experience in leading on and managing an all-round IT function - essential
- Experience in infrastructure design - essential
- Knowledge of issuing and managing HTTPS/TLS certificates - essential
- Experience with hosting, administrating and upgrading WordPress sites - essential
- A basic understanding of setting up and managing domains in AWS - desirable
- Experience of working with Google Workspace - desirable
- Ability to develop a comprehensive understanding of all business plans, and relate that knowledge to identify operational and IT-related initiatives - essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills — including the ability to effectively communicate concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong skills as a negotiator, to facilitate commitment to change and service improvements with the appropriate level of judgement and maturity
- A high degree of initiative, dependability, and ability to work with little supervision

**Salary & benefits.**
- Basic salary - £25,000-£35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
- Company bonus (discretionary) - up to 10% of your annual salary
- 5 weeks (25 days) annual leave + bank holidays + your birthday off
