**Purpose**

To be responsible for supporting the maintenance, repair and modification of moulding tools, enabling production to meet customer demands and targets.

**Responsibilities**
- Basic build up, installation, removal, maintenance, repair and modification of moulding tools
- Carrying out regular tool inspections, servicing and cleaning
- Safely carry out tool changes
- Ensure spares/consumables are stored in an organised manner and stock levels are maintained at all times
- Test and confirm the operation of tools before returning them to the production line
- Fault finding
- Setting and running production moulding machines when required
- Making tooling modifications to improve tool reliability
- Ensure tools and other equipment are maintained correctly, reporting any breakages/faults to the Senior Engineer
- Uphold company HSE standards and report any shortfalls
- Referring to basic engineering drawings
- Using a variety of hand and power tools to assemble a wide variety of large and small fabricated components
- Using welding equipment
- To work as and when required with the Engineering team as directed and guided by the Senior Engineer
- To comply with company health and safety rules
- To participate with the quality and environmental practices in the workplace

**Person Specification**
- Time-Served Maintenance Engineering Experience
- Industrial Engineering Background
- Machine Tooling experience
- Ability to read Engineering Drawings
- Moulding tool/jig familiarity
- Welding experience
- Familiarity of working to tolerances
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and 5S methodology
- Fork lift truck operators licence
