If so, we have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Head Grower to join our team in our commercial indoor plant nursery, working in our exquisite greenhouses.

This role required a blend of hands-on growing, planning and monitoring with the willingness to learn new skills and knowledge within the horticulture industry.

**About the Job**:
As an Assistant Head Grower, you will:

- Assist the Head Grower in all aspects of crop growing processes and management in our greenhouses.
- Implement a variety of biological, environmental and cultural controls to maintain the quality and growing conditions of the crop.
- Monitor pest and disease.
- Actively look for new ways to reduce waste and improve crop quality.
- Monitor the performance of varieties.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing support for different activities and projects.

The role also requires occasional trips to growers in the UK and Europe.

**What You Bring**:

- Willingness to learn growing techniques, irrigation, pest and disease and peat free production.
- A passion for plants and horticulture.
- A horticulture college qualification or qualification such as RHS is desirable.
- A flexible and ‘can do’ approach, with the ability to take initiative and work well with the wider team.
- Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritise workload.
- Excellent organisation and communication skills.
- A good standard of verbal and written English.

**Salary**: £23,500 - £26,000 DOE.

Voluntary overtime available.

Working hours are 39 hours per week, worked as: Monday 7.30-15.15 and Tuesday-Friday 7.30-16.15.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £23,500.00-£26,000.00 per year
