Junior Estimator

A leading player within the utilities industry is now looking for a junior ME&I Estimator to join the business on a permanent basis.
You will be part of an extensive training and development programme and will be joining a growing team.
The company continue to grow and as a result are going through significant employee expansion. They have a hugely exciting portfolio of work and there will be opportunity for long-term progression.
On offer is a salary of up to £35,000-£36,000 plus car allowance and company benefits.
Key duties:
- Support the Estimating Manager with all estimating related duties.
- To assist in maintaining a Quotations register.
- Assist with all stages of estimation, from initial scoping to handover to the Project Manager.
- Create Material lists, site packs and supporting documentation ready for handover to a PM.
- Request and chase supplier, sub-contractor, and manufacturer quotations to assist with estimations.
- Following up on all outstanding quotations within agreed timescales.
- Building and improving estimation procedures working with the Estimation Manger.
- To undertake any other general support and administration duties as will be required from time to time.
- Assist others in selection of materials and sub-contractors when required to do so.
- Reviewing supplied tender documentation including drawings, details, and specifications.
- Constructing a logical and consistent price/offer using spreadsheet models and success to failure ratio.

- Working hours 7:30-16:00 Monday - Friday
- Auto enrolment onto the pension scheme with 5% employer contributions
