**Further Education Teacher Role**

**Location**: Sheffield City Centre (S1) / Training Centre for Young People

**Start date**: ASAP

**Daily rate of pay**: £130

**Hours**: 9am-4pm (Mon-Fri)

Teaching Personnel have recently partnered with a training centre in the centre of Sheffield who are looking for multiple FE teachers to join their team They are looking for individuals who hold a QTS or FE Teaching qualification looking for full time workwithin a training centre setting for students aged 16-24 years.

The centre accommodates for students who struggle to attend usual college settings and need additional, more personable support with their learning. The classes within the centre are smaller than those of a usual college and consist of around 16-18 pupilsto ensure each young person has access to 1-2-1 support where required to support their development into usual working life.

**Description of role**:

- Deliver classroom-based delivery of vocational short courses
- Help develop and roll out an effective and engaging learning model
- Maintain a high standard of training and assessment and ensure performance targets are achieved
- Effective interpretation of a range of initial assessment and diagnostic tools, to effectively plan the required support for learners
- Devising Learner Journeys/Action Plans taking into consideration various learning styles and individual learner needs
- Coach, guide and encourage learners to give them the necessary skills, motivation and knowledge to progress

**Requirements of role**:

- Achieved a fully endorsed teaching qualification such as a Cert Ed, PGCE, DTLLS or equivalent
- Understanding of how to effectively interpret a range of initial assessment
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written
- Good organisational and administration skills
- Working with disadvantaged and/or vulnerable learners
