**Job Specification: Maintenance Engineer**
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to identify root causes of equipment malfunctions.
- Conduct preventive maintenance activities according to schedule to prevent breakdowns and minimise downtime.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and perform necessary repairs to restore functionality.
- Implement and maintain maintenance management software to document work orders, track equipment history, and maintain maintenance records.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to prioritise maintenance tasks and minimise disruptions to production schedules.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all maintenance activities.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support projects aimed at enhancing equipment performance and reliability.
- Participate in research and development projects and contribute to design and manufacturing mechanical parts and assemblies
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in an industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical or electrical systems.
- Proficiency in diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting.
- Experience with preventive maintenance practices and procedures.
- A degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with maintenance management software systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

**Job Specification: Materials Engineer / Metallurgist**
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Perform material characterisation and testing using a variety of techniques
- Design and execute experiments to investigate material properties, performance, and behaviour under different conditions.
- Analyse experimental data and interpret results to draw meaningful conclusions and make recommendations for material improvement.
- Troubleshoot material-related issues and provide innovative solutions to overcome challenges in material development and processing.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to support product development projects.
- Maintain accurate records of experiments, observations, and test results, and prepare detailed technical reports for documentation and presentation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols in all material-related activities.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven industrial experience in materials engineering, metallurgy, or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or research environment.
- Expertise in material characterisation techniques.
- Strong hands-on skills with experience in laboratory-based experimentation and testing.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking, with a demonstrated track record of solving complex material-related challenges.
- Proficiency in report writing and technical documentation, with the ability to communicate findings effectively to diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with materials modelling and simulation software tools is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment, with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
