The Birtenshaw Group are looking to appoint an experienced Care Services Professional to join the Care Services Team based at our Head Office in Bromley Cross, Bolton. The role would be on a temporary basis to cover the current post holders period of maternity leave.

**Overall Purpose of Job**
- To promote the welfare of all children, young people and vulnerable adults and ensure they are protected from harm.
- To operate as part of Birtenshaw’s Directorate Management Team (DMT)
- To have line management responsibility for Heads of Service - Care Services
- To ensure policies, procedures and service delivery within all Care Services are consistently developed to comply with current legislation and guidance, and the Charity’s Memorandum and Articles of Association
- To work with Deputy Chief Executive: Services to set and deliver strategic objectives in line with Birtenshaw’s overarching Strategic Plan to ensure continuous improvement and growth of the organisation’s Care Services
- To have oversight of all quality monitoring processes - including internal monitoring processes; Regulation 44 and 45 reports and ensuring Ofsted readiness
- To work with Referral and Placements Coordinator to ensure Referral and Admissions processes are robust
- To ensure safe, positive and nurturing services for all service users

**We are looking for someone that has**:

- Substantial management experience in regulated children’s services settings
- At least Level 5 management qualification
- Ability to form and maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders
- Ability to evaluate priorities and set clear goals / targets to support quality improvement and growth
- Knowledge of theories and practices in child development and/or theory of attachment and/or learning disability

A full UK driving license with no more than six points that has been held for a minimum of three years is a requirement for this role.
