PMO Consultant - DV Security Cleared - Remote Working

PMO Consultant with excellent experience around leading PMO projects, developing continuous improvement, Project controls implementation & digital transformation is required by a worldwide consultancy based in Cheltenham. You will be working on some governmentbased projects hence the need to a high level of security clearence.

You must be DV security cleared or Enhanced SC cleared

**This role will offer lots of flexible working, so plenty of opportunity to work from home, while commuting into Cheltenham from time to time. They even offer compressed hours, reduced weeks etc as part of their flexible working policy**

The PMO Consultant role will shape some of their most exciting Portfolios, Programmes and Projects. You will provide advice and assistance to support adherence to portfolio, programme and project processes, using your influence to work with a range of stakeholdersto agree appropriate governance

For this PMO Consultant role, they are looking for the following:

- Been DV
- Working in a project delivery environment or PMO with a good understanding of structured and agile frameworks & methodologies (e.g. APMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, MSP)
- Ability to identify and analyse problems to recommend actions to clients, communicating both to key stakeholders and presenting information through reports, dashboards and slides as appropriate
- Ability to build relationships with immediate contacts
- Agile awareness and a solid understanding and experience of one or more project and programme management methodologies (e.g. Planning Increments, SCRUM, Kanban)
- Project planning, Scheduling, monitoring and reporting, with P6, Microsoft Project or JIRA experience desirable
- Risk and Issue management
- Project Controls & requirements management
- Working knowledge of commercial and financial processes and ability to report financial data would be advantageous
- Governance/ process design and implementation based on client requirements
- Consulting experience within client environments, ideally including government and potentially with knowledge of excellent practices from other sectors that can drive client business process improvement
- Team leadership/ Line management experience is desirable

Duties of this role include:

- Leading in knowledge sharing activities with a view to developing continuous improvement to services that Atkins provide to their clients
- Advice and support to Planning, including development and updates to Schedules
- Financial management
- Risk and Issue lifecycle management and maintenance
- Project controls implementation and assurance
- Communications planning, delivery and maintenance
- Reporting and key management information assurance
- Mentoring and Coaching to other Atkins staff
