**Reporting to the Performance and Projects Manager**
**Based in**: Wilton International, Teesside

**Position overview**:
The role is primarily based at the Wilton site but may include occasional projects across the UK. The role is based within the Projects and Performance Team which monitors plant performance, develops process engineering solutions to support the businessand delivers completed projects.
The role will require you to work with all areas of the business, including operations, maintenance, engineering, finance, commercial, purchasing, senior management, health, safety and environmental. Good communication and business skills will be essential.
Key deliverables will be providing process engineering, solving operational problem solving and developing engineering solutions to existing and new assets.
The breadth of exposure to other disciplines in the business is an opportunity to use this role as a steppingstone to a more senior position.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Focused on the Wilton Assets but providing support to the Flex assets distributed around the country.
- Works with project engineering to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new, operational and modified installations.
- The reliability engineer is responsible for adhering to the life cycle asset management process throughout the entire life cycle of new assets.
- Lead continuous improvement on reducing mean time to repair of key assets.
- Leading or supporting complex improvement projects and delivering solutions using Continuous Product Improvement 6 Sigma methodology.
- Guides the Operational, Engineering, Maintenance Teams focus using Pareto analysis to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls and safety / security systems.
- Professionally and systematically defines, designs, develops, monitors and refines an asset maintenance plan based upon historical and forecast data that includes:
- Value-added preventive maintenance tasks.
- Effective utilization of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems.
- Talking to internal customers to identify route cause.
- Develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations. These problems include capacity, quality, cost or regulatory compliance issues. To fulfil this responsibility, the reliability engineerapplies Data analysis techniques that can include:
- Statistical process control
- Reliability modelling and prediction
- Fault tree analysis
- Weibull analysis
- Six Sigma (6s) methodology
- Root cause analysis (RCA) and root cause failure analysis (RCFA)
- Failure reporting, analysis and corrective action system (FRACAS)
- Provides input to a risk management plan that will anticipate reliability-related and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely impact plant operations.
- Works with Operations to perform analyses of assets including:
- Asset utilization
- Overall equipment effectiveness
- Remaining useful life
- Other parameters that define operating condition, reliability and costs of assets
- Provides technical support to operations, maintenance and technical personnel.
- Applies value analysis to repair/replace, repair/redesign and make/buy decisions.
**Essential**
- Demonstrable experience as a Reliability Engineer.
- Statistical and analytical analysis skills.
- Demonstrable problem-solving skills, root cause investigation experience and working knowledge of 6 Sigma tools and techniques.
- Strong technical capability with experience in mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Self-motivated and have excellent communication and project management skills.
- Self-motivation is also a key skill.
- Background in manufacturing, power, utilities, process industry or similar.
