Doncaster Mind is a successful local and independent mental health charity based in the centre of Doncaster, providing a range of services to supporting people’s mental health recovery and wellbeing including counselling, mentoring, peer support, training, volunteer development, information and guidance.

We are a small team of 15 and our organisation is going through a period of significant growth and development. As part of our continuing growth we are excited to be a looking to recruit a brand new Wellbeing Navigator to join the Doncaster Mind Wellbeing Team.

Doncaster Mind’s Wellbeing Service consists of a number of interventions:

- One to one support includes Counselling, Mentoring, Befriending and Bereaved by Suicide Counselling.
- Group Peer Support including Wellbeing and Activity and structured courses and workshops

The post holder will work with the Wellbeing Team to support the delivery of Peer Support Groups and with the Wellbeing Navigator based within Changing Lives, to develop pop up shops to be delivered in community buildings across all four localities of Doncaster, rotating throughout the year. Alongside this the post holder will develop and support delivery of services within under-represented communities.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting people and would like to be part of an organisation that empowers people to support their Wellbeing.

You will be enthusiastic and committed to working with clients to identify and access appropriate support both within Doncaster Mind, the Crisis Alternative Alliance and other providers in the local area. You will have experience of supporting people with their mental health/wellbeing or have your own lived experience and understand the barriers and challenges people with mental ill health face.

Part-time hours: 22.5 per week
