Wex Photo Video is seeking a search specialist and experienced manager to take ownership of our on

**Purpose**:
Grow the Wex organic traffic channel by auditing, refreshing and systemising our approach to search engine optimisation and marketing.

**Primary Objectives**:

- Increase organic sessions
- Own and maximise the relationship with any relevant external agencies
- Line-manage and develop two existing Technical Copywriters
- Manage a small SEO budget
- Expand and diversify Wex’s link profile
- Optimise the internal link structure of the Wex site to pass equity to key pages
- Analyse keyword and competitor performance and offer actionable insight to improve SERPs
- Devise a strategy for future growth

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Develop and communicate a strategy to grow the organic channel
- Line-manage two Technical Copywriters based in Norwich (incorporating all duties commensurate with a management position)
- Regularly assess the performance of the Wex sites using a range of specialist tools, set KPIs and communicate findings with the wider business
- Devise and deliver ongoing campaigns to improve SEO
- Track, analyse and report on the performance of SEO campaigns
- Conduct analysis of top-ranking competitor sites and share actionable insight
- Audit the Wex site’s code from a technical SEO perspective and work with the development team to make any changes required
- Audit the internal link structure of the Wex site and develop a plan to optimise that structure, passing equity from the homepage to deeper pages and reducing click depth
- Research keyword performance and opportunities, and advise colleagues on best practice for content and optimisation
- Develop a plan for active outreach to build our link profile
- Develop an organic reach model, identify opportunities for future growth and instigate an ongoing programme to maximise potential
- Optimise the appearance and performance of our store pages via Google My Business
- Stay up to date with industry developments, attending external events where required
- Undertake such other duties as may be directed and are commensurate with the post

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Qualified to Degree level or equivalent
- A professional, structured approach to work in complex environments
- A proven track record in a similar SEO-management role, with experience in code, content and outreach
- Technical knowledge of search engine crawling, indexing and ranking algorithms
- Working knowledge of code and site architecture
- Demonstrable understanding of effective white-hat link-building strategies
- Experience within ecommerce and marketing
- At least two years’ experience managing direct reports
- Fluent in English with an excellent standard of written and verbal communication
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple projects
- Diplomacy and the ability to maintain relationships with colleagues across multiple locations
- Creativity and decision making, coupled with the ability to thrive in a friendly, energetic environment that values integrity and embraces change
