As a Governance Officer you will step into a pivotal role where your expertise is the key to our commitment to excellence and ethical governance. In this dynamic position, you will lead the charge in crafting and implementing a governance framework that aligns seamlessly with our mission and industry best practices. Your role will extend beyond compliance, as you champion transparency and accountability, ensuring the integrity of our operations.

**Key Responsibilities will include**:

- Provide pro-active day-to-day administration support for the Director of Governance and the team.
- Logistic planning for governance and other team meetings across the calendar.
- Drafting and preparing agendas for governance meetings both external and internal.
- Administering the Grievance and Appeal process and non-compliance with the Scheme Regulations and auditing
- Providing project administration around key governance projects during the governance year by managing the governance policies to ensure that they are reviewed and up to date.
- Preparation of meeting packs and dissemination as required, encouraging a digital-first approach.
- Liaising with the Local Hub teams to support with recruitment of members and vice-chairs to 'Committees and Members' Forum representatives.
- Supporting the administration with arrangements for committee meetings and hearings, including liaising with the Committee members, lawyers and members as appropriate.
- Supporting the Professional Conduct Officer with the running of Mandatory CPD audits and first-line support for queries and the management of spreadsheets and outcomes.

**About You**
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organisation skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure, manage a busy workload and prioritise accordingly.
- Ability to communicate with potential and current members with varying levels of seniority.
- Excellent administration skills, including drafting reports, managing complex programmes and projects administration and logistic planning.
- Demonstrative experience in a customer-facing senior administrative role, with the ability to always provide the highest level of customer service.
- Ability to work on their own as well as part of a team.
- Strong computer skills
