We are currently seeking a dynamic individual who want to be a part the Endoscopy Service at University Hospital of Wales.
The unit comprises of 2 rooms that service a full range of GI Endoscopy, Bronchoscopy procedures and also dedicated support facilities for a seamless patient pathway. We provide a 24/7 service for emergency procedures.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work with a friendly and supportive team within a challenging and demanding environment. Experience in Endoscopy is essential and on
- the - job training will be provided also. A mentor will be assigned to guide you towards developing your skills, thus providing effective and efficient delivery of patient care.
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced endoscopy trained nurse to join our Endoscopy team, at University Hospital of Wales as a Unit Sister/Charge Nurse.
The successful applicant will be expected to work closely with all disciplines to ensure the promotion of high standards of care for all patients requiring pre, peri and post operative care.
They will be responsible for the clinical and operational management of the Endoscopy Suite at the University Hospital of Wales comprising of two Endoscopy rooms.
The Post-holder will also have responsibility to provide professional leadership of the Endoscopy Unit on a daily basis and be responsible for the delivery of a high standard of patient care within agreed financial limits.
The post holder will be expected to contribute fully to the development and achievement of Directorate objectives and deputise in the absence of the Senior Nurse at relevant meetings.
