**About the role** This is a fantastic opportunity to join UCL's Information Services Division (ISD) as a Linux Application and Systems Manager within Faculty IT & Partnering (FITP) supporting our Medical Sciences faculty. The purpose of thispost is to provide technical leadership to the group through leading on high-priority and complex work delivering maximum value to teaching and research.

Your responsibilities will involve the following:

- Providing creative input, you will be responsible for the implementation of IT solutions and the leadership of project's technical implementation team, including any detailed design activities
- Capitalise on internal ISD offerings and externally provided platforms where possible, while supporting bespoke services where necessary to deliver benefits to Medical Sciences.
- Act as the escalation point for the Faculty IT Support and Applications & Systems Specialists.
- Provide cover for the IT Service Manager by attending meetings and acting as the escalation point when required.
