Our UK EPIC business mentoring programme creates pathways to entrepreneurial success for young people facing disadvantage, particularly those from care backgrounds. Our network of young EPIC entrepreneurs and EPIC itself is growing. Currently, we serve young entrepreneurs across the Birmingham and West Midlands regions. We have ambitious plans to expand our reach to enable more young people to discover their potential over the coming years and must grow our supporter base accordingly. As EPIC's Business Programme Coordinator, you'll help us do just that.

**Purpose of the Role**:
This role is primarily to coordinate the EPIC Young Business Programme and support the Senior Programme Coordinator for EPIC with the onboarding of new cohort members, engaging and communicating with EPIC community from Cohort to Alumni through multiple channels including our Online Platform. Supporting with enabling internal and external mentors, coaching, signposting, connecting and coordinating updates across programme. This role is a key part of the growth and expansion of EPIC.

**Activities and Deliverables**:
The key functions are to:

- Coordinate the young business programme for EPIC
- Support the EPIC team with the management of new intakes and masterclasses for EPIC
- Support the Senior Programme Coordinator with connecting, communicating and enabling the EPIC community
- Oversee mentors, coaches and additional inputs to young people

**Project Management**
- Manage the EPIC Young Business Programme, including financial controls, safeguarding & risk management and project participant coordination.
- Track young person engagement, specifically to analyse case studies with baseline and end of programme evaluations.
- Oversee and coordinate the young people to attend entrepreneurial panels, and receive EPIC funding and mentorship.
- Lead on the creation of support and mentorship plans with young people and their assigned mentors and support their progression through these plans.
- Manage the relationship between the young people, mentors and external stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external partners.
- Support young people to complete the programme on time, achieving targets and within budget.

**Pastoral Support**
- Provide pastoral support for the young people, signposting to the relevant agencies when necessary.
- Create support plans for any young people on the project who are experiencing mental health issues or hardship in conjunction with the Senior Programme Coordinator.

**Partnerships**
- Be part of the team to recruit, train and oversee management of new and existing mentors.
- Liaise with other community groups such as schools & youth centres to develop partnership opportunities for EPIC and other projects.

**Communicate & report**
- Support the EPIC team on the creation of detailed and up to date reports for Senior Management as well as quarterly board meetings.
- Track project performance, specifically to analyse the successful completion of short and long-term goals on all projects in which you are the lead.
- Encouraged use of social media and marketing tools to promote EPIC and also young people to share their engagements with team.

**Ensure quality**
- Use and continually develop organisational and co-ordination skills.
- Attend training as required to maintain proficiency.
- Deliver work in line with the values and missions of the Martin James Foundation and adhering to our policies and procedures.
- Implementing best practice that supports Martin James Foundation culture.

**Documentation Management**
- Ensure all information regarding sensitive data is recorded and kept secure.
- Ensure that the internal database is kept up to date - to include daily contact sheets, meeting minutes etc.
- Workplans to be created and kept up to date with progress made.

**Competencies & Experience**
- Proven experience in project & programme management.
- Excellent stakeholder and internal communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
- Critical thinking, decision making and problem-solving skills.
- An understanding of delegation, and an ability to manage both delegating and delegated tasks.
- An ability to work at pace, and adapt to different situations and when needed.

Hours: 35 hours a week, with core office hours but a requirement to be flexible to support young people.

Reports to: Senior Programme Coordinator
