We have a new vacancy for a Surfacing Foreman based out at Sunderland. The Northumbrian Roads Surfacing Foreman will directly supervise and coordinate daily activities of their gang.

You will plan and coordinate daily tasks relayed by the Supervisor/Manager as to how best lay the material ordered. You will be trusted to be left alone on schemes to deliver the programmed work in a timely manner. You must be strong and a good leader who maintains discipline/morale within the gang. It is expected that the foreman maintains a professional manner to the client and builds a good working relationship with them.

It will be essential for the foreman to help others in his gang build skill sets and develop future potential within the team. This will build resilience throughout the gang and ensure we have multi skilled operatives. Completion of site paperwork i.e. timesheets, daily inductions, dip records etc. will be required. It is also expected that you will ensure that those in your charge complete the relevant paperwork, i.e. daily plant checks. You will also ensure that the plant supplied along with site vans are kept clean, tidy & presentable.

**What will you bring?**
- An obtained CSCS card or willing to work towards.
- Industry knowledge would be advantageous.
- Previous experience within road surfacing or similar background (civil engineering) would be ideal.
- Full driving license.
- Willing to travel and work some flexible hours.
- Good time management and team development skills.
