of quality, functionality, and service.
The key purpose of the role is to take responsibility for overseeing and project managing the design, production, delivery, installation,and hand over of complex medical equipment at hospital sites throughout the UK.
In this exciting and varied post, the Project Manager will be responsible for the preparation, planning and installation of a range of capital medical equipment into the Operating Theatre, Critical Care and Urgent Care environments.
The successful applicant will organise and instruct all internal engineering resource along with sub-contractors, on site. Liaise with and update various internal and external project stakeholders, including hospital departmental managers, building contractorsand M&E contractors.
The Project Manager is an integral part of the Healthcare business, interfacing and forming key internal relationships with sales colleagues, procurement & production, field service engineers, and commercial partners. In addition, the job holder develops relationshipswith building/M&E contractors and business partners. From a customer and clinical system user perspective, the PM is the key contact from initial order to system handover, with the need to communicate effectively at all levels.
Key Responsibilities include:
Maximise projects profitability and income
Attend monthly contract review meeting for all your projects
Maximise contract efficiency: identifying, costing and processing any contract variations.
Sort any contractual issues with customers when they arise.
Ensure customers are informed of all necessary and relevant facts about their projects.
Ensure customer satisfaction with the company's products and services.
Ensure the company will not incur any damages as a result of any late delivery.
Maximise project profitability by all necessary means including improved buying, increased
sales of products and services, improved process efficiency by all concerned.
Cover for holidays for other project managers
Liaise with the designers, engineers, production team and procurement team as required.
Ensure understanding of the contract details by all involved
Your Background - Project Manager
To be considered for this exciting role you must be able to demonstrate a strong background
working in an installation project management capacity, with practical knowledge of the capital equipment installations.
Applicants are welcome from Project Managers from a wide range of equipment backgrounds, although experience of the NHS, healthcare, medical device installation and operational hospital environments would be advantageous.
You should have the ability to manage multiple 'cradle to grave' projects at one time.
Key Competencies:
Degree educated in Engineering or similar.
A minimum of 5 years' experience within the medical environment
Good commercial knowledge of the medical device sector
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong understanding of sub contracts / trade contracts / purchase agreements
Time management & organisational skills
IT literate
Proficient user of project management software and AutoCAD
PRINCE2 Practitioner (or equivalent)
